Aquarden’s WaterbraneTM is a filter unit that can be used for many types of filtration applications. It is ideal for treatment of oily wastewater or separation of sludge in wastewater from the metal finishing and surface treatment industry.
The Waterbrane filter unit is made of a silicon carbide (SiC) filter module and replaces a traditional settling tank and a sand filter, which are applied in most treatment plants for industrial wastewater.
Waterbrane can therefore be used for most of the separation tasks where settling tanks and sand filters are used today.
The compact design of Waterbrane makes it an obvious choice where space is a constraint as it takes up only 10-20 % of the space of a traditional setup.
Aquarden’s Waterbrane consists of a small tank with a built-in filter module made of silicon carbide membranes. Wastewater with particle pollutants is fed continuously to the tank. Clean water is sucked out through the filter, while the sludge particles are collected and concentrated in the conical bottom as a thin sludge. The pore size of the SiC membranes is 0.1 µm which mean that particles larger than 0.1 µm are concentrate in the sludge.
The Waterbrane unit is typically supplied with a flow from 1 to 100 m3/h. In principle there are no limits to the plant capacity as the units are modular.
The SCWO systems are installed onsite at our clients’ premises right at the source of pollution, or at local cleaning stations.
We charge a competitive fee per treated cubic meter of wastewater. In this way companies can focus on their core businesses instead of having to worry about – or invest in – wastewater treatment systems. And we can focus on our core competence: helping our customers in optimizing their wastewater treatment.
